Created in 2010 with the mission of participating effectively in assisting victims, RECOVI is a non-profit organization led by young people and authorized to intervene on Burundian territory by the Ministry of the Interior under its order No 530/1451 of November, 15th 2010. RECOVI has framed its interventions since 2009, when it brought together around income-generating activities (IGA) and other community development activities, young victims, whose parents were swept away by the cyclical socio-political crises which have shook Burundi.
