Child Education and Human Rights Promotion

Child Education and Human Rights Promotion

Burundi’s children, especially those in rural areas, face multiple threats to their rights and well-being—ranging from school dropout, abuse, child labor, statelessness, and lack of legal protection. These challenges are shared across the East African region, where conflict, poverty, and fragile education systems undermine children’s ability to thrive.
The Child Education and Human Rights Promotion Program is RECOVI’s response to these urgent challenges. By protecting children’s rights, investing in inclusive education, and strengthening local protection mechanisms, RECOVI seeks to build a generation of empowered children who are informed, resilient, and capable of shaping a peaceful future for their communities.
